Hardwood has been the floor of choice since the beginning of time from medieval castles to modern luxury palaces and penthouses .Only in the last decade have modern manufacturing technics made it affordable to the general public. Hardwood flooring is divided into two types.

Solid hardwood is the traditional material used in the installation of hardwood floors. 100 years + is not a unrealistic expectation for the life of a hardwood floor when resurfaced.
