Hush is a family business, owned and managed by brothers Donald and John Doolan. The brothers first went into business together in 2005 when they opened a hairdressing salon in Edinburgh. In 2008 they moved to Livingston where they opened Hush. Moving from a small salon in Edinburgh to the heart of Livingston was a real challenge but Donald and John rose to it, and the salon has grown from 7 staff to 25!
As part of Hush's investment in training the salon has created Graduate Day. On Mondays customers can pay a reduced price for a haircut by one of the staff who are nearing the end of their training (fully supervised by Donald).
