Symmetricise™ is an exercise programme which focuses on the correction of the position of the pelvis as the underlying cause of low back pain. The source of pain is often normal tissue being irritated and is not the cause of the problem. The changes in pelvic position include flare, rotation, upslip/downslip or a combination of all three components. Pelvic asymmetry occurs as a consequence of our gait pattern and foot position. This is evident by observing the unequal pattern of wear on the soles of our shoes.
