Houghton Pigot

Houghton Pigot & Co Solicitors was established in 1990 following the merger of two firms, Houghton & Pigot and G. Raymond Pigot & Co. The partners of Houghton & Pigot, husband and wife Edward and Margaret Houghton (nee Pigot) had previously been partners in the long established Wigan firm Ackerleys (formerly Ackerley Heaton and Pigot). The partners of G. Raymond Pigot & Co., Frances Lawlor (the eldest daughter of Edward and Margaret) and Mark Randall had both trained as Solicitors with Ackerleys.

In 1998, the firm was established in its present form with Sue Houghton (the youngest daughter of Edward and Margaret) joining Frances and Mark as a partner and Edward and Margaret continuing to serve the firm as consultants. At Houghton Pigot & Co, we combine our professional and friendly approach with expertise in a wide range of fields. Our practice has two offices - one in Wigan and the other in Ashton.
