The basic principle in the treatment of Homeopathy is "similia similibus curentur" which means like cures like. If remedies which are capable of producing symptoms similar to ailments are administered, it will produce a primary action on vital force. The vital force in-turn exerts a reaction that is secondary action according to Newton's third law of motion. That secondary effect will be curative, if selected remedy is a similimum.

Homeopathy is based on the principle that ‘like cures like' - in other words, a substance taken in small amounts will cure the same symptoms it causes if it was taken in large amounts.

Laboratory research is focusing on the ability of water to retain an imprint of substances which have been dissolved in it. Science still has a lot to explain but whatever the mechanism, there is a growing body of clinical evidence to show that homeopathy has a positive effect.
