Stephen Hewitt Eyecare is an independent opticians located on Mercer Row in Louth. Formerly known as Stephen Hewitt Optometrist, it was founded in 1984 by the late Stephen Hewitt. Sadly Stephen passed away in 2016 and although he is very much missed the practice continues to run maintaining the highest quality of professional eye care, lens technology and customer service as set by Stephen himself.
We have two optometrists on site Rachel Barton BSc MCOptom DipTp(AS)(IP) Prof Cert Glauc who has been with us since 1997, and Pravin Vekria BSc, our resident locum optometrist, who has been with us since 2015. Our consulting room incorporates the very latest technology and we also benefit from our on-site optical lab.Because Stephen Hewitt Eyecare is an independent opticians it means we have the freedom to choose the brands of frames, lenses and contact lenses we provide. You will receive a personal service in a welcoming friendly environment and can enjoy the consistency of seeing the same staff members when you visit us.
