My career started working at a County Council architect’s department as a trainee architect. I then went on to work in the private sector up to associate director level in a medium sized architectural practise. With over 16 years experience as a qualified architect, I have worked nationally across the retail, commercial & domestic sectors, including works to listed buildings and within conservation areas. This has provided me with a solid foundation to inaugurate a local architects’ practice. Past and current project experience include school refurbishments, restaurants, public houses, supermarkets, domestic extensions /conversions /new build and community facilities. These projects have involved the use of both traditional construction methods and modern steel frame building design. For more complex projects I often work with other specialists in the field, to draw on their wealth of experience, particularly in complex planning matters, to ensure that a first class service can be provided.
