Henley Landscapes
Reduced space from overgrown aquatic plants combined with fish waste and decomposing fallen leaves forms a black sludge at the bottom of the pond. Decomposing plants and fish waste give off toxic gas amd an unpleasent odour.
When left untouched, the water in a pond will change colour, start to smell. The correct balance of plants, fish and filtration is very important and most ponds require completely cleaning every 4 or 5 years to avoid a black sludge forming on the bottom of the pool and an oily film developing on the surface of the water which blocks light and harms underwater plants. As every pond is unique in design, size and stocking levels, it is necessary to carry out a site survey of your pond before a cleaning quote can be given. The survey is free of charge within a 25 mile radius of our premises in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. Charges will be made to visit outside this area, however, this amount will be deducted from the final bill if the quote is accepted.
