Hawthorne School Of Dance is the natural progression from Windsor's Blossom Ballet. We also welcome dancers from age 4 for practice in Ballet, Tap, Modern. Our local dancers enjoy weekly term time classes with their friends, progressing through graded levels. There are also regular opportunities to take part in local performances and optional ISTD exams.
Lucy Hawthorne (BA Hons DDE ISTD), the school's principle, is a highly experienced and enthusiastic dance practitioner. Since graduating from the London Studio Centre, Lucy's extensive teaching credits include delivering workshops at The English National Ballet, teaching Street Dance on behalf of London Youth Dance and being appointed as an Associate Dance Artist for Sadlers Wells .
Emily Headland (DDE ISTD) teaches Modern, Tap and junior Ballet at HSOD as well running her own dance school in Amersham. Before teaching, Emily performed in my many local productions and now enjoys sharing her performance skills with our aspiring dancers.
Alice Spencer (DDI ISTD), inspired by her Grandmother who danced with the Royal Ballet, teaches junior and senior Ballet at HSOD as well as teaching cheer leading and contemporary at local schools. Since graduating from Italia Conti, Alice has won many dance competitions including the UDO World Street Dance Competition and has represented Great Britain in the Cheerleading World Championships in Florida.
