Greig Adams - Chartered Building Surveyor & Expert Witness

I specialise in providing tailored specialist solutions and professional advice throughout a property lifecycle on all technical aspects of acquisition, development, funding, ownership, occupation and disposal with a focus on increasing value and reducing exposure to risks. My detailed understanding of construction, design, pathology, materials and building maintenance underpins my ability to provide a comprehensive, clear and concise overview of a property.

I have gained over 16 years experience in Real Estate and have worked for a number of Scotland's most prominent Chartered Surveyor firms, including Capita Real Estate, Ryden Property Consultants, Graham & Sibbald and DM Hall.

I am a dual qualified Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Building Engineer, whilst I have obtained distinction by attaining Fellowship with both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Association of Chartered Engineers (CABE).

I regularly provide Expert Opinions and have gained litigation experience including presenting oral evidence, whilst I have obtained the Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence (LETAPAEWE) accredited by Pearson Learning - Edexcel at a level 7 (Masters level) BTEC.

I now hold the position of Divisional Director at Capita Real Estate, providing Building and Project Consultancy throughout Scotland. I also hold a government appointment as a surveyor member of the Private Rented Housing Panel/Homeowner Housing Panel whilst I am an APC Assessor on behalf of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Outwith work and now having ended all rugby playing activities, I can be found enjoying cake and coffee in the many cafes of Edinburgh, spending time with my children or occasionally on a golf course during the summer months.
