I am a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC and a Forensic Psychologist chartered with the British Psychological Society. I have trained in a number of therapeutic approaches including DBT, EMDR and Schema Therapy. I have over ten years’ experience of offering a wide range of therapy to both individuals and groups. I currently work in the NHS, whilst also developing my private practice.

In particular, I have a passion for supporting individuals who might find themselves stuck in patterns of behaviour that they find distressing but struggle to change. Sometimes this is diagnosed as a Personality Disorder. My experience includes working to help manage conditions such as anxiety, depression and OCD, but I can also offer individual support for anger management, substance misuse and relationship issues.

I integrate a range of approaches when working with clients, including Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Schema Therapy is particularly helpful for individuals who may suffer from problems in relationships or friendships, who put a lot of stress on themselves, feel high levels of emotions or often feel they are in a crisis and can’t cope. It focuses on understanding life long patterns of behaviour, and how our early experiences have formed unhelpful ways of coping which we continue to play out as adults, even though we know it is hurting us.
