Through ongoing research, the British Acupucture Council has shown that treatment can benefit pain and discomfort associated with arthritis, symptoms of menopause, headaches, anxiety and stress conditions.Although acupuncture is often thought of as a treatment for pain it has many other benefits ranging from relaxing and energising the body to promoting improvement in general well-being.I originally trained as a nurse and midwife. I worked in London as a Staff Nurse and then in St. Richard’s Hospital Maternity unit for 10 years. I like to draw on my medical background to bridge the gap between Western and Eastern medicine and to keep up with the latest research and treatment methods.
