Gatley Read

Gatley Read was established in December 1987 when David Read joined Ian Gatley in practice. The firm has always been based in Oldham originally in Church Terrace in the town centre then Union Street and Bleasby Street and now to its present location on Salmon Fields Business Village. We are proud that Gatley Read reached its 25th anniversary in 2012. From its humble beginnings the firm has grown significantly over the years to its current size occupying prestigious modern offices in Royton, Oldham. We believe that this growth has been made possible as a direct result of the service we offer to clients and as a result the majority of our work comes from existing client recommendations, bank and business contacts. In order to ensure that we could provide the best service to our clients we decided, at an early stage, to train all our staff to a high standard and became registered as a training office for Chartered Accountants. Over the years we have successfully trained a number of Chartered Accountants including Caroline Greenwood and Vicky Castle, who are now also partners in the practice.
