Gathurst Golf Club

Gathurst Golf club is located very close to Jct 27 of the M6 motorway, an 18 hole parkland course with a variation of hole designs to challenge golfers of all abilities. Work is continuous around the course, the new open ditch on the 11th hole was added recently, the 5th tee has been re-laid and raised. Golfers will have an altered view, as they survey the pond to the left and out of bounds to the right, where the white stakes of the practice ground loom for the over cautious. The first six holes were added in recent years and have now blended in well with the existing course. The 4th and 6th greens are only separated by a pond and, when the gound is firm and if the ball is running, you may need to think twice about your shot, when the pins are set close to the pond.
