Forres Area Credit Union aims to provide an easily accessible service, offering members safe savings facilities and loans at favourable rates of interest, whilst continuing to promote financial education and encourage good savings habits.
The modern Credit Union movement traces its origins to Germany and to a Mayor who in 1849 formed societies which later evolved into Credit Unions. The purpose of these Credit Unions was to enable people to help themselves in relieving debt and poverty.
Individuals who live or work within the counties of Moray and Nairn can join.
Group memberships are also available to community groups operating within these areas
