BAFE SP203-1: Industry accreditation for design, installation, commissioning/handover and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems. This scheme recognises the importance of providing compliant fire detection and alarm systems and therefore assist in minimising false alarms. BAFE SP101/ST104: Industry accreditation for maintenance of portable fire extinguisher. The aim of this scheme is to enable organisations requiring fire extinguisher maintenance to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006, to employ a third party certified company and service personnel with recognised competency in fire extinguisher service and maintenance.
