After leaving Cambridge, Fiona pursued a career in art and design, working at a number of leading architectural practices in London. For several years, she taught Interior Design at Chelsea College of Art & Design, while building up her private practice. As a result of her growing horticultural interests, clients began to seek advice on garden design as well as interiors and this now forms an equal part of her professional service. She is a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, and opens her garden near Canterbury twice a year under the National Gardens Scheme.
