From early beginnings, Chris and Laura McGinity set up Finchley Music School, with just two music courses; Keyboard and Guitar. At that point the school was a Yamaha Music School, using music and other material supplied by Yamaha, with teacher training provided by them as well. It all sounded great! Sadly, the music courses that Yamaha provided turned out to be quite undeveloped, with a lack of material being the main issue, though not the only one.
The home of Specialist Tuition for PIANO and GUITAR at two centres in Finchley and Hendon. You're in easy reach of one or both schools if you live in Barnet, Enfield, Haringay, Camden, Brent and Harrow. The teachers aim to provide all their students with first class Music Lessons for all ages, in a friendly and productive environment, using dedicated teaching rooms. Teachers provide their lessons in Piano and Guitar studios which are well equipped with modern, top range instruments.
Students do not need to bring their own instrument to the lessons and are fully involved through the whole of the lesson. Teachers also give students the opportunity to play in exams and concerts. Piano exams are accredited by Trinity College of Music in London and Guitar exams by Rock School. These are optional as not everybody wants to take exams, but for those who do, they can provide a real focus to their playing.
