Elysian Insurance Services was established in 1996, initially as a managing general agent underwriting certain classes of maritime liability insurance on behalf of American underwriters. It specialised in excess and overspill calls insurance for members of the International Group of P&I Clubs. The business subsequently evolved into its current form, namely an insurance analytics company, primarily focused on marine liability business, but has also been involved in both other marine sectors and also non-marine liability.
