DTTravel

During my career as a chemistry teacher I organised and led school parties on Youth Hostel trips to the Lake District and Scotland. After retiring from the teaching profession I started Day Walks (as DT Travel) in Northumbria in 1999, usually walking on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, throughout the year. In 2001, with the advent of low cost flights, City Visits Abroad commenced with 5 day trips to Berlin and Vienna.

Since then my wife and I have introduced a few city breaks abroad each year and venues have included Budapest, Barcelona, Florence, Prague, Nice, Dublin, Annecy, Krakow, Berlin and Vienna. This year, 2011, we have been to Florence, Berlin, Nice and Budapest. In 2002 our Long Distance Walking weeks started with St Cuthbert's Way. These vary from 5 to 7 days and 54 to 68 miles.
