Driscoll Young

Driscoll Young Solicitors was established in October 2003. The brainchild of Gareth Driscoll we are a firm specialising in all areas of criminal law. Gareth formerly of Gartsides Solicitors realised, that with criminal law becoming more and more diverse and with never ending legislation creating a huge number of new offences, there was a growing need for a firm practising crime only.

He left Gartsides in 2001 and established a firm on his own operating from a small one room office in Pontnewydd near Cwmbran and dealing exclusively with crime. He took on a secretary, Lorraine Jones, a Police Station Rep, Joanna Donovan, and a retired Police Officer, Malcolm Helps, to assist with case preparation. Within a year his decision was paying dividends justifying his belief that there was indeed demand for such a firm.

He approached Rod Young of John W. Davies & Co Solicitors following the death of Robert Jones, the senior Partner at that firm.
