Foregate Street Dental practice was established more than 30 yrs ago by Howard Shaw, Mike Sykes and Duncan Massie. All three original dentists have since retired. The practice, having been handed over in part in the interim to Martin Cassidy, David Plumbley and Carolyn Temple, has a current team of dentists comprising Practice Principal Drs Ad Gideonse and associates Dr Navdeep Kaur & Mr Andy Mizen. Ad qualified in 1991 at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

Ad qualified in 1991 at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. After his national service with the Dutch army, he worked for five years as an associate in the Netherlands. In 1996 Ad came to practice in Hastings for a year or two, but liked this country so much he is still here with no intention of leaving. Ad moved to the practice in Chester with his family in 2001, taking over from Mr Massie.
After passing the qualifying examination (General Dental Council - UK) in 2006, Nav worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Lincoln County Hospital for 18 months.
