Doug Scott Cycles

Doug Scott Cycles was opened in 1985 by Hull born cyclist Doug Scott. Since his very early childhood Doug had a fascination with bikes. He built them, he rode them, and he helped family and friends when problems arose with their bikes. He finally got his chance to live his dream, and in 1985 established his very own retail shop, catering to folks who loved bikes as he did. Building a succesful local business around a product he loved, Doug worked and played hard. People city-wide knew and respected Doug as a businessman and a friend. When Doug passed away in 2010 the shop was taken over by his daughter Abi. Growing up with a bicycle mad father, as a child Abi could often be seen helping in the workshop. When some girls were playing with their Barbie dolls, Abi would be found helping to strip bearings, adjusting brakes, and changing tyres. Abi has grown up at the shop, and knows cycling inside-out.
