Initially registered as a limited company in 1983 the company began as a team of friends and family manufacturing and installing hardwood windows and doors to the local community.

Initially registered as a limited company in 1983 the company began as a team of friends and family manufacturing and installing hardwood windows and doors to the local community. Within a few years demand for the company's products had grown to a level where it was necessary to construct specially designed premises where the uPVC and other products could be fabricated.
In addition to this the company also has facilities close to Llangadog, Carmarthenshire, making it possible to cover a much larger area of South Wales than other bespoke window companies. Distinction Windows is a family business managed by Wayne Duncan, who has worked in the Carpentry and Construction business for over 30 years. He was initially joined by his parents Hettie and Oscar and wife Nannette to help start and manage the company during its first 25 years.
