When Selina first emailed me about photographing her wedding in France at the Chateau La Durantie, Alexis, her fiance and yachtsman, was in Miami, USA. I checked my diary, made sure I was available and having shot at La Durantie before, I was excited at the prospect of going back to this stunning venue.
After a few more emails/calls, I was soon booked in. A couple of months went by when out of the blue I got a text from my Sister telling me she’d got engaged (woohooo) and was planning a wedding overseas, for the same weekend as Alexis & Selina! I was getting ready to tell my sister that I wasn’t going to be able to attend as I was already booked to photograph a wedding in France when she emailed me with the details of her venue.Now some things are meant to be. My sisters wedding happened to be in France, the day before A & S’s and was no more than a 45 minute car ride away, in the same region. This meant I was able to attend both weddings, one as a guest/brother of the bride and the other as a photographer.
