Dartside Art Studio

The essence of watercolour will be explored with emphasis on a more intuitive approach to painting. Through demonstration, theory and practice, you will develop confidence with wet in wet techniques, become familiar with the characteristics of watercolour and discover how to make your paintings 'sing'. You will learn to loosen up, experiment and play with textural techniques using watercolour and mixed media to create expressive results. Inspiration will be from nature, including wild flowers, plant forms and the local landscape.

You will be encouraged to develop your own style and choice of subject with individual tutor support. Classes are friendly, supportive and fun. Breda has established a reputation as an inspiring and enthusiastic tutor. She is a member of Totnes and Dartington Open Studios, South Hams Arts Forum and Salcombe Art Club. She exhibits throughout The South West and holds workshops and courses at her studio by the River Dart in Totnes.
