David Whitaker has been in the motorcycle trade since he was 15. Training in his early days with a well known local bike mechanic who had an excellent reputation for over 30 years. He then left and trained with Andrews of Scarborough working with the late Brian Andrews and learning his trade to a high standard. Completing various training courses with Honda and Yamaha through the Andrews dealerships. Also a qualified alarm fitter.

Racing motorbikes since 16, and has over 18 years racing experience. Repairing various different machinery and doing all his own preparation for races and spent 3 years as the mechanic for a New Zealand racer. Working on 5 bikes during one fortnight who ended up in the record books for getting a replica in every race in the Isle of Man, so his bikes needed to be 100% reliable, something he is passionate about.
