Teresa has an honours degree in Fashion and Textiles and has worked in both the fashion and interiors industries as a designer and retailer for over twenty years. During this time she has gained an extensive knowledge of textiles and a specialisation in lighting design. With this knowledge bank Teresa formed the business to bring Interior Design and a quality furnishing studio to Devon.
Custom House Design was started in Topsham in 2010 by Teresa Hamlin who has a wealth of design and retail experience.
Now based in the heart of the Devonshire countryside amidst a courtyard of stone and cob barns, and just a few miles north of Exeter, our studio is a showroom for our Interior Design services. We have ample parking - all we ask is that you ring in advance so that we can ensure your personal attention . . . !
We stock a wide range of furnishing fabrics, trimmings, carpets and wall-covering samples and you are welcome to come and to browse or to pick our brains for those design tips and in-depth product knowledge. We can help you to choose furnishing fabrics for your home and help design your living space. For a small fee to cover our expenses (refundable on ordering), we will gladly come to your home.
