Coxell Clinic

I studied remedial massage and manipulative therapy from 1983, qualifying in 1986 and then worked for several years with Mr S. G. Coxell of Peterborough, before taking over the Coxell Clinic practice. Over the years I have undertaken regular professional development courses and seminars, learning many new techniques for the treatment of painful conditions. From 2001 to 2003 I worked regularly with Mr Ken Willey, a local sports injuries physiotherapist. This was a particularly interesting exchange of ideas and practise in the sphere of sports injuries.

Myofascial work is another interesting technique that I was introduced to in 2007 by an American, James Weslaski, who is an international lecturer and orthopaedic massage therapist. This is very gentle work focusing on releasing the connective tissues that bind the muscles. Also in 2007 I studied proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) for realigning skeletal problems.
