Coomara Veterinary Practice was established in 1989, but there has been a vet surgery on this site since 1964, making it one of the longest standing vet practices in the area. Our aim is to deliver an efficient and friendly service to promote the health and welfare of our patients at a reasonable cost. We employ 2 full time vets, 2 part time vets, and 2 fully qualified registered veterinary nurses, as well as our experienced and friendly support staff.
Incidentally, the name of our Practice is the house name, and it is one of the most frequently asked questions. What does Coomara mean? We have learnt it is a New Zealand sweet potato. It is also mentioned in a Maori Legend, but if you know of any others we would be delighted to hear about them.
