Confidential Counselling

I have been working in Twickenham with individuals, couples and families for over 20 years.

Prior to qualifying as a Chartered Psychologist I had many years of experience running a number of commercial businesses in a variety of fields. These 'real-world' experiences have proven invaluable in helping to relate to clients of widely differing backgrounds. My initial practitioner training was in Person-Centred Humanistic Therapy. I was a trainer for the Samaritans, worked as a bereavement counsellor for CRUSE and was part-time student counsellor at a London university. I then undertook a Science Degree in Psychology and Counselling followed by a Post-Graduate Masters in Counselling Psychology.

These nine years of academic and practitioner training provided me with an understanding of all the principle models of therapy, along with their individual strengths and weaknesses. I spent a further year studying Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy at Exeter University.
