Computers For Charities

Given the growing amount of demands on folk, the growing requests money and support is one key reason we rarely appeal. Of course we would welcome support, but have sought to do the best we can. Which is not always the way. Once in 21 years is what it takes. Yes £1 million today is what we are seeking, 2015 needs to be a decisive year, a year of action.

CfC was the first. Computers for Charities was founded in 1994 becoming a registered charity in 1998. I.T back then was unrecognisable in comparison to today. Then a basic computer system cost around £2000. Systems did not talk to each, plus limited access to expensive skills support for when things go wrong. Which believe me they did and still do? Like it or not I.T is here to stay and an intrinsic tool for any organisation. Given the growth and demand on the voluntary sector our aim has been to provide basic free I.T support and advice to Charities and Voluntary organisations across the UK.
