Our team are ready when you need us. Charles Fowler set up Competex as a specialist accountancy practice in 2000 to assist interim managers and consultants who were affected by the IR35 legislation. Charles originally trained with Price Waterhouse in London and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1972. 18 years later, the business has further evolved, to assist all those offering professional services, to manage their company and handle their finances. Not only have the rules appertaining to IR35 become more complex but other compliance issues and regulations have also become more stringent. Originally based in an office in Charles’s home, the business has now expanded to employ over 25 staff.
