We started life as a general building company (trading as Simon Tinson General Building Contractors) and building still comes naturally to us. So it stands to reason that when we build a base, we build a solid, structurally sound base laid on substantial foundations. We consider the base to be the unsung hero of the finished conservatory, and can very confidently say that we have never had to return to one under any form of guarantee.

When the building team arrive, they will first peg out the conservatory base and dig the footings, manually or by mini-digger depending on the size of the base and access to your garden. Concrete will then be poured into the footings and bricks laid to damp course level.

The oversite (this is the main section of the base within the footings) will be in-filled with a minimum of 100mm of scalpings, then blinded off with sand. A plastic damp-proof membrane is then laid followed by 50mm of Warm Floor Insulation.
