Alexander is passionate about the benefits of a properly fitted bicycle to prevent injury and improve performance. His interest in bicycle fitting developed from personal experience of repeat lower back injury followed by therapy. This led to the exploration and realisation that a poor bicycle set up was a major contributing factor to his recurring back problem. This revelation along with the discovery, at the time, that there were no dedicated bicycle fitters in Scotland resulted in a decision to change careers.

To achieve this he has undertaken extensive bike fit training in the USA and the UK. From this training Alexander came to the conclusion that greater knowledge and understanding of the human body was necessary to carry out specialist bicycle fits properly. As a result he has become a qualified Sports Massage Therapist. Alexander has over two years experience working in the cycling industry. As a cyclist Alexander is an experienced mountain biker and has cycle toured through Holland.
