Chelmsford Taxibus

Chelmsford Taxibus is the premier taxi and private hire company in Essex and was incorporated in 1997 from the original Chelmsford Cab Company, which was formed in 1980 by one of the present Directors, Kevin Knightbridge. Chelmsford Taxibus began with just 5 vehicles with 15 drivers and staff and has grown to a company with 100 vehicles and over 150 drivers and staff. The Company has always been in the forefront of private hire development and was the first in Chelmsford to install a computerised booking and despatch system, the first to use vehicles larger than 5 seats and has now developed a specialisation in wheelchair accessible vehicles and more. Chelmsford Taxibus' Management have many years of experience within the Road Passenger Transport Industry. Four of the Senior Managers hold Certificates of Professional Competency in National Passenger Transport Operations.
