We are a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in central Worthing, headed by two qualified Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts. For the first time in Worthing, two black belts have come together to provide quality, professional BJJ instruction in a professional, welcoming and friendly setting. Offering over 1000sq ft of matted space, coupled with a weights gym, this unique academy is your ideal location to learn an effective martial art, get fit, have fun and grow on many levels.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art whose central theme is the skill of taking down a resisting opponent in ways that force him or her to submit. Such control is generally easier on the ground than in a standing position, and much of the technique of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is centred around dominating positions to the extent that the opponent can be rendered harmless.

To control and overcome an attacker who possesses greater size, strength and athleticism is the keystone of BJJ philosophy and strategy. This is done by developing a deep understanding of leverage, control and positional dominance over your opponent.

This knowledge can be used to subdue an opponent with whatever level of severity the student chooses. As students develop, they will benefit from a greatly increased level of physical fitness, problem-solving ability, knowledge of their bodies and minds, as well as the many social benefits of working with a large group of like-minded fellow students in a safe, challenging yet professional environment.
