Cavendish Cycles

We've had plenty more nice builds coming through the shop again recently, here's a couple.

This was a really nice one to put together, as there's a nice mix of parts that we don't see every day. Built around Van Nicholas' Amazon titanium touring frame, Phil decided to invest in one of Rohloff's 14 speed internally geared hubs; pretty much the Rolls Royce of hub gearing. For this to work on a frame with vertical rear dropouts, we fitted a Phil Woods Co. Philcentric BB, which allows eccentric movement of the outboard BB bearings; a really neat bit of kit. Van Nicholas also provided us with their Rohloff specific drop bars, which split in the middle to allow fitting of the Rohloff twist shifter. Disc brakes were a must, and TRP's HY-RD are more than up to the task, combined with TRP levers. A Van Nicholas titanium seat post, Shimano Alfine chainset, and SKS matt black guards finish this handsome steed off nicely.
