I’m a Surrey wedding photographer located on the borders of Surrey and London. I’ve photographed at many top venues throughout the region. I just love the buzz and excitement of photographing weddings in a creative manner. I work in an unobtrusive way capturing natural spontaneous moments placing you at ease. Couples regularly comment I’m just nice to have around. The images I shoot will tell a beautiful story of your wedding day in pictures. Although I work in a contemporary creative style I make time for the family group photos and relaxed portraits of the newly married couple.

I’m Carl a Surrey wedding photographer based near Twickenham. I’ve always had a keen interest in photography from a very young age which was something I took from my dad. He gave me my first canon camera when I was a teenager which was way back in what seems like the olden days of darkrooms and chemicals.

I might have stuck with Canon although the technology has moved on at a rapid pace but the darkroom days are well gone! It was always quite exciting though to see your pictures develop through the smell of the chemicals but the likes of photoshop and lightroom offer the modern day photographer some extremely powerful tools.

I studied photography a lot through college and University and used to shoot all the time, we are so lucky now with technology that I’ve always got some sort of camera with me, I would have loved to have had that when I was growing up! Speaking of growing up I’m originally from Sunderland in the north east of England but moved down to the big lights of London some 18 years ago and have been a converted southerner ever since although my Northern accent can occasionally be heard now and again.

I’m always on the lookout for a good photo opportunity and regularly walk the streets of London armed with my camera for my own personal amusement. I first started taking wedding photographs some 8 years ago when a work colleague asked if I would shoot their wedding. I jumped at the chance even without any experience but plenty of nerves. Its something I’ve never looked back on since.
