Captain Bligh House

The house suffered bomb damage during the second world war, but was lovingly restored, leaving the flooring with a quirky "ship at sea" feeling.

There are five separate sets of self catering self contained accommodation, all with their own unique charm and appeal. All our guest quarters are rather different from the usual B&B, and the ability to cook in ‘at home' to avoid the expense and hassle of eating out every day is a bonus. We provide a welcome starter pack of breakfast victuals, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, jams and fruit juice. Should you wish for an ‘English Breakfast', there is a brilliant restaurant round the corner, Riverside 2, and the pub on the corner has great food and atmosphere!

Quite close by are many grocery stores, shops and markets, and of special interest, London's pride and joy, Borough Market, situated in the historic village of Southwark, just a 20 minute walk or a quick bus ride away.
