The company was set up by Jeremy and Josephine Wager to complete a management buy-out of the blocks of flats then managed by Cam Flats - a Cambridge-based company that also dealt with lettings and maintenance. In October 2003 Cambridge Property Management Ltd set up offices with Jeremy Wager, Mary Long and Jo Stinton in Essex House on Regent Street, managing just over 40 estates - mainly in Cambridge. These formed a mixed portfolio with mainly Resident Management Companies (RMC's) as well as several freeholder controlled estates. In June 2014, the company joined forces with Encore Estate Management. Encore is a highly regarded estate management company based in Cambridge, with a clear focus on customer experience and value for money. This change is about taking advantage of Encore's existing strengths in its people and industry-leading infrastructure, to help improve the support and service that we offer to our clients and their estates.
