I moved to Woodingdean, Brighton from Kilmarnock in Ayrshire, Scotland when I was 11 years old. I spent only a few months at Rudyard Kipling Junior School where I sat the 11+ exam some months after my classmates. I attended Varndean School for Girls in Brighton and enjoyed my time there, moving on to Brighton Technical College.
