I first came to photography as a wide eyed, aged 11 little girl, when my idolized big brother allowed me to hold his very very expensive SLR film camera. I was hooked. But for years, I wasn't able to pursue that spark - the little pop of magic I felt when I picked up that camera for the first time. Music had already claimed me, and wouldn't really release or even loosen its grip until I was well in to my 20's. In fact I came back to photography through music - through photographing preparation for performances. And there it was - that little spark, that little pop of magic - it was back! I haven't put down the camera since!
Photographing families and newborns is a truly rewarding experience. I particularly love quietly standing to the side and watching the parents eyes as their family crosses my screen for their first viewing.
