Anthony Bush, our Managing Director, started the company more than 35 years ago. He began his career at an early age from his family home in Kingsbury, north London. When he left school he joined a firm of solicitors and during his lunchbreaks he spent time hunting for antiques in central London. After four years he decided to go it alone and with £200 and a £60 van he created Bushwood Antiques.
With over 8,500 pieces of English and Continental Antique Furniture and Accessories from the Georgian, Regency, Victorian and Edwardian periods in two showrooms and an arena-sized warehouse of over 25,000 sq feet, we are one of the largest Antique Dealers in the country. As well as holding an enormous stock, we also provide a complete antiques-based interior design scheme for homes or offices in the UK and Worldwide.
We are as original as the furniture we sell. Set in the rolling Hertfordshire countryside, based around an idyllic Georgian stableyard, we pride ourselves on our reputation of high quality and friendly customer service. Julie Collins, our Sales Manager, used to have her own successful antiques shop in St Albans and has been in the business for more than 20 years. She joined us five years ago and has brought with her much valuable talent and experience.
