Back in the 1950s, when Bushey Hall Garage started its journey, the motor trade portrayed a very different landscape to today’s diagnostic driven, electro-mechanical market. The cars were far simpler to repair and the rules and regulations basically added up to ‘if it runs – it’s legal’. Much has changed around us since then; the business has grown, and whereas knowing the workings of a basic combustion engine used to be adequate, we now have expertise across pretty much every model on the road. In fact, the company has been around just few years longer than when the very first Haynes Manual was published. Today we are proud to say that three generations of the Ayres family have worked in the business and its foundation culture of treating customers like part of our own family still underpins everything we do. Most of our customers remain local people and businesses around the Bushey area, but as word has spread (reputation can go a long way over the course of 68 years) , we now look after cars and vans throughout Watford and all surrounding areas. We are also the recommended local service and repair centre for many national fleet or leasing operators.
