Bulldog Protection Systems was formed in 1993 by Tim Calway after having spent years involved in the design and installation of fire detection and security systems for a major European manufacturer based in London. Bulldog Protection Systems was formed primarily to install and maintain fire alarm systems for the commercial and industrial market. After a few years successful trading, the company expanded it's range of systems to include Door Entry, Fire Extinguishers, CCTV and Intruder Alarms.

This expansion was aimed to provide a "total solution" with regard to both Fire Protection and Security. Apart from installation and service a key factor in providing this has been Fire Training and Fire Risk Assessments.
