Established in 1981 in the southeast of Edinburgh, Browns Opticians has become a cornerstone of the local community. Based at the same Portobello Road and Clerk Street premises for the last three decades, the success of our popular practice is underpinned by a long-established and highly regarded team of optometrists and support staff. With parents routinely bringing their children here from an early age, Browns Opticians, have become highly skilled in caring for the vision of it's younger patients. By working closely with the local hospital's eye department, children can be seen in the less formal surroundings of the practice, under the shared care of the eye hospital. There is also plenty of choice in free spectacle frames for youngsters, while older customers are able to select from designer brands like Oakley, Bvlgari and Silhouette. We are among an elite group of Opticians in Scotland capable of offering Nocturnal/Ortho K contact lenses, which are worn while you sleep.
