Often the first you will know that you are being investigated or accused of benefit fraud is when you get a letter from the DWP or local council asking you to attend an interview under caution. This means that they are looking into your claim. It is very important that you get legal advice before you attend this interview. Do not make the mistake of thinking because you think you haven't done anything wrong that you do not need a Solicitor. Anything you say in an interview under caution conducted by the DWP could be used against you in Court proceedings.
