Beneficent Law CIC

Beneficent Law is a "not-for-profit" legal services company, established in 2008 as a low-cost alternative to commercially driven law firms (like High Street Solicitors) and we act for clients throughout England and Wales. We are not a charity but a social enterprise; so, whilst we have benevolent objects and goals, just like a charity must have, and are run for public benefit, we are also a business which funds the work that it does by charging low-rate fees. Beneficent Law was established to provide legal services in accordance with the new legislative framework for the provision of legal services contained in the Legal Services Act 2007. This legislation, which has radically altered the way in which legal services will be supplied in the future, means that not-for-profit companies like Beneficent Law can compete directly with commercial law firms, giving greater choice to the public as consumers of legal services and lowering legal costs.
