Belinda's Bakery

Peter is a Master Baker. He had his first contact with the baking industry when he left school aged 15 and went to work for a family run bakery in Essex. He left the Baking industry for a while to join the Merchant Navy. Having completed two round-the-world trips, Peter left the Navy and attended Southampton Bakery College, winning various awards including Top Student three years running! After successfully completing his training Peter then went to study at National Bakery School, now called London South Bank University. He married Ruth in 1975.

Peter worked in various bakeries in Bristol and Somerset for the next six years gaining experience all the time. He finally joined the Tesco Team of Bakers in Bristol before taking the plunge and opening his first bakery, The Oven Door of Kingswood in Bristol in 1981. Two years later he moved to Ringwood and began trading as the Belinda's Bakery we know today.
